Was kinda quiet here over the last couple of months, right? Well that was mainly because I was working on some really interesting projects — mainly iPhone apps — that kept me from publishing new stuff. And there is one more thing…
One of the most exciting projects was - and still is - working with Sophia and John from tap tap tap on their amazing iPhone apps such as Where To?, Tipulator or Groceries. If you haven’t already, make sure you check em out.
Furthermore I assisted my friends Michael and Till from Mindmeister with preparing the next big release of their collaborative online mind mapping tool. I’ve seen the preview and I can tell there are some really exciting new features to be announced :)
But there is one more thing I’d like to talk about: a secret project I’ve been working on over the last couple of months. Hm… it’s actually not a secret anymore, since I’ve already posted some teasers on my flickr stream, right? Well so I guess it’s okay to officially let you know that I’ve been working on a new iPhone game. It’s currently being reviewed by Apple and I’m confident that it will be ready to hit the App Store sometime next week. So stay tuned…
Make sure you also check out the official Dashball wallpaper set.

Na endlich mal wieder was neues von dir!
Lars September 05, 2008 at 11:18 AM
Sehr interessante Projekte.

A long time it has been! When I get an email notification, I always immediately head on over to see what’s going on. I’ve seen a few of your posts elsewhere, and wondered if you’d ever be back. Glad you’re back and with some interesting stuff.
Mindmeister seems pretty interesting. I’ll give it a demo sometime over the weekend.
With the iPhone game, since ABalls was taken, what name did you decide to go with?
Badratgeber September 06, 2008 at 08:14 AM
Robert September 06, 2008 at 08:50 AM

sicher-Heizen September 06, 2008 at 11:17 AM
Energie-Ratgeber September 06, 2008 at 11:38 AM

Wolfgang September 06, 2008 at 07:15 PM
Haha, so “trinkwasser trinkwasser trinkwasser” is definitely a creative translation of tap tap tap :)
And also thanks for your positive feedback on Mindmeister — but keep in mind, the version currently available at mindmeister.com is still the “old” version. You may sign up to their newsletter or RSS feed to get notified when they will release the new one :)
As for the game: yeah that naming issues was obviously tough luck. But in the end we came up with a new name. Actually imo a much better one than “Aball”. It’s now called “Dashball”. And no worries — I’ll post more details on the game in the next couple of days. So stay tuned.

The name ‘Dashball’ definitely fits the visual of the Splash Screen.
Besides, the name ABall just gives off a sort of not so good familiarization to the term AHole!
Hehe, Know what I mean? =)

I looks like an action game coupled along with a thinking one as well. It looks great!!!
Now, once you make one for the Samsung Instinct, consider it bought!
Question: What is the likely-hood of you creating emphasis_Racing Game_emphasis???
That I would LOVE to see!

I’ve been using Mindmeister at an on and off base since its very first inception. Feels great that this absolutely stunning application continues to evolve.
I haven’t even noticed that you were on of the contributors until now but then again, this hints on the origin of the sheer visual quality of the interface.
Dave September 15, 2008 at 04:42 PM
I’m guilty of the same thing with a lack of posts. One thing that can make for a quick post is any really good new sites that you might have found. I’m sure most of your readers would be interested in anything that you find thats new.

The iPhone is incredible, BUT their appz arnt all that good, and custom apps are generally better than Apples apps, dont really understand that but keep up with quality applications!!

Those iPhone apps were well worth the time not blogging, and as for mindmeister, that’s such a cool one it would almost be rude not to use it!

Having tried out your ITouch game I have to say I am quite impressed. Its rare to get a piece of preofessional work on Apple for free! Most of the Apps are very poor and badly put together, but yours makes a refreshing change.
Keep up the good work.
