Wallpaper Devkit
Today I played around in Photoshop and finally I ended up with a wallpaper I kinda liked. Basically it’s a very simple one — inspired by early Windows Vista wallpapers — with my new logo in the center.

Since I guess that you don’t wanna use the wallpaper with my logo I thought it would be a good idea to upload the Photoshop file so that you may adapt it to your needs. The template has a resolution of 2560x1600px so it might take a while to download. Have fun.
Just in case that you still want to use my variant you may download it by clicking the picture below :)

Could you just tell me, what font you’ve used in the wallpaper?

Schleimer :P
Ne, ist echt elegant, könnte ein bisschen Ruhe auf meinen iconüberfüllten Desktop bringen :)

The “b” eblem in you logo is great. It makes quite a statement.
What I don’t understand though is why Quark went from the scottish arts council look to the sony ericsson beveled bubble.

This is sweet! Could we possibly get a tutorial, that would be extra cool. I’m really digging it.
Thanks.

I think I just found a replacement for the Aqua background.
By the way, what font is that?
Erlend May 26, 2006 at 07:08 PM
Used it with your logo anyway :)
Sebastian Ullherr May 26, 2006 at 07:42 PM
Nicely done. I like the DevKit!
@ Appleologist, nodh
The font looks like Myriad Pro (partly light) to me.
Wolfgang May 26, 2006 at 08:00 PM
Correct — the typeface is based on “Myriad Pro Italic” with some modifications.
Tom S. Weber May 26, 2006 at 09:45 PM
Wow great picture, love the curves!
Chris May 26, 2006 at 10:42 PM
Looks like “Myriad Pro Italic” thats been skewed to straighten up all the vertical lines.
I just tested it, looks very close.
Chris May 26, 2006 at 10:52 PM
EDIT: “Myriad Pro Light Italic”

Really nice.
How do you make these organic ripes?
They look similar to the green stripes on this site.
Martin Labuschin May 28, 2006 at 04:17 AM
Great, as everytime :) What about an article of some details of your new logo?

Very nice looking desktop, clean blue. I love how the pipes bend out near the edges of the screen.
Congratulations with the redesign of your logo — looks fresh & clean.

Looks a lot like the Quark logo… I mean the scottish arts council logo… I mean the OLD Quark logo… ;)
Nice, be interested to know how those subtle blue lines are generated.
