Wallpaper Devkit 2
I guess most of you still remember my first Wallpaper Development Kit published back in May. Now, more or less half a year later, I thought it was time to update my wallpaper as well as the Wallpaper Devkit.
I guess most of you still remember my first Wallpaper Development Kit published back in May. Now, more or less half a year later, I thought it was time to update my wallpaper as well as the Wallpaper Devkit.
The second incarnation of the devkit once again contains a Photoshop file with a placeholder, so that you can insert your own logo, a certain slogan or anything else that keeps you motivated. So if you think it’s time for some sort of “autumn cleaning” on your desktop make sure that you grab the template as long as it’s hot. Would be nice if you could share your versions with the rest of us by either providing a link or posting it on Flickr using the tag wpdevkit.

I had your last ‘vista-esque’ desktop for 6 months and I like this new one just as much. Vibrant yet soothing, sharp yet delicate. Perfect desktop material, thank you.

I really like your new design,it’s fashion! And the section line is so cool, how did you do that?

Just a quick question about the devkit, what font are you using for the slogan thingy? When I go to edit it, it just doesn’t look as nice.

Just a quick answer… it’s the Myriad Pro! In this case Myriad Pro Light and Myriad Pro Semibold. It’s delivered with the Adobe Creative Suite 2. For more information look at Adobe.com/type
Wolfgang October 29, 2006 at 04:44 AM
Correct – it’s Myriad Pro which is part of CS2. Actually I thought it’s also included in CS – but now I’m not sure anymore :)

I just released a mod, I called it Light Mod, since the wallpaper is only modded lightly. I hope you like it!

Just had to stop by and say thanks! I loved and used your original wallpaper devkit for a month and a half, and now I’m rather looking forward to using this one for another month or two.
Thanks again, and please don’t forget to make another one in the future. Its a truely great idea.

Thanks for that psd, I’m loving it. Made a few little changes and adapted it to my colour schemes.
